All the time!

Mostly I think about Neverland. He spent a couple hundred years in Neverland. He called Pan the nastiest person he has ever met. We’ve seen all that he’s done with Henry in just the last few days. Imagine spendinghundreds of years trapped in Neverland with him. And I’m pretty sure that in second star to the right we learned that Neverland time works differently, Wendy came back one day later but said she it felt much, much longer in Neverland.  That means in a couple hundred years our time, Neal spent even LONGER there.

Let’s take a moment to think about how many centuries that would equal to him being in Neverland and cry with me about it.

Also look at this face.

LOOK AT THAT POOR INNOCENT CHILD WHO HAS ALREADY BEEN ABANDONED BY HIS FAMILY, NOW DESTINED TO SPEND HUNDREDS OF YEARS HELD CAPTIVE BY THE NASTIEST PEOPLE HE HAS EVER ENCOUNTERED.

Then when he finally got back to our world a second time he had to grow up on the streets and raise himself in an unfamiliar world that he knew basically nothing about. Like imagine all that can happen to a teenage kid with absolutely no life experience or understanding of how our world works trying to survive.

Don’t even talk to me about “I used to like Baelfire, what happened to him?” That happened.  Life happened. Abandonment happened. Sacrifice happened. Trapped by twisted, evil beings for centuries happened. Having to survive multiple different worlds by himself happened. Growing up alone happened. Everything else that we haven’t even heard about yet happened.

Bae/Neal is one of the bravest characters on this show and has turned out to be a great human being despite every reason not to and I will applaud him for that until I die.
